Linda Rockwood founded Mohawk Valley GIS in 2003, after her family relocated to Herkimer County, New York. Previously, she owned North Country Technology Integration in New Hampshire, working primarily with school teachers to integrate technology and particularly GPS and GIS into the K-12 curriculum.

Linda Rockwood is all smiles. The owner of Mohawk Valley GIS just returned from an awards ceremony where her company beat out 16 other applicants to receive a 2015 "New York State Geospatial Applications Awards Competition." The award criteria included the quality of the digital application, return on investment, and the value to the user.
